Art&Sol is a digital media design and programming studio specializing in educational applications. The company is a synergy of the creative and technical talent required to design engaging interfaces and deliver effective software solutions.

The company consists of its two principals Tony and Lori Scarlatos, and leverages the technology and manpower assets of its strategic partners. This model provides low overhead operating costs and flexibility of response to customer's needs.

Tony Scarlatos, creative director, has a master's degree in communications design; and worked as an art director for twelve years before starting Art&Sol, for companies such as Doubleday and Cablevision. His work received numerous national awards. He teaches in the Computer Science department at the State University of New York at Stony Brook.

Lori Scarlatos, senior programmer, has over twelve years of experience developing and managing both commercial and government software projects, including an ARPA contract to extend and apply her own Ph.D. dissertation research. Her computer graphics research has also appeared in refereed journals and conferences. Dr. Scarlatos has written substantial programs for multimedia projects, commercial animation tools and games, and government simulators and visualization aids using a variety of languages. In addition, she teaches programming languages, computer science, and visual media in her courses at Brooklyn College.
